Dental Implants
Losing one or more of your teeth doesn’t have to be detrimental to your smile or your confidence anymore! Many patients choose to restore their smiles with dental implants because it is the closest tooth replacement solution to having a natural tooth.
Even better, your dentists at Bright Dental can guide you through the whole process from start to finish, so you can work the entire time with a team you’ve grown to trust.

Why You Should Replace Missing Teeth
Patients often wonder why it’s important to replace missing teeth, even if you can’t see them at the back of your mouth. Great question!
Unfortunately, you lose more than just the aesthetics of your smile when you lose a tooth. Your ability to chew is also diminished, but there are also ways that tooth loss impacts your dental health, such as bone loss and shifting teeth.
Bone loss occurs when your jawbone no longer has a root to support. When your bone deteriorates, it impacts your neighboring teeth's support and could result in more tooth loss. It can also affect the appearance of your face, causing a sunken look.
When you don’t replace a lost tooth, your surrounding teeth begin to drift into the space left by your missing tooth, causing bite misalignment. When your bite doesn’t properly align, it can result in fractures or damage to your healthy teeth, problems with your jaw joint (TMJ), and even an increased risk of developing gum disease or tooth decay.
Dental implants eliminate these concerns by replacing both your tooth and your root.

How Can I Get Started With Dental Implants?
If you would like to learn more about dental implants, our dentists would love to talk with you. During an evaluation, they will take x-rays, perform a thorough examination, and review the treatment process with you.
If you move forward with tooth implants, our dentists will begin the implant placement surgery at our dental office. Then we’ll monitor your healing process over the next few months while your implant is fusing and integrating with your bone.
When the integrating process is completed, our dentists will design a customized restoration to complete your smile. Typically it’s a porcelain crown for single tooth replacement, or implants can support a denture or bridge to restore multiple teeth.
